What to see
A suggested tour of Liège
Take a stroll through the historic, shopping, rural and liveliest districts of Liège in a single tour.
This itinerary is roughly 5km and 1,5h long, and we have made it available online: you can access, visualize and download the map here!
If you prefer to narrow it down, most of the places listed below are included in this itinerary.
City centre, shops and cathedral
Close to the faculty and many shops of the Saint Paul neighbourhood, the Place Cathédrale is the ideal place to stroll or sip a coffee at the foot of the cathedral.
Bars, restaurants and history
For cocktails, Belgian beers and restaurants, you might want to head to the Place du marché, also close to the artisan and concept stores of the streets En Neuvice and Souverain-Pont.
Urban gardens and (many, many) stairs
For higher and greener sights right in the middle of the city, climb a few stairs to the citadel hillsides and have a walk through the Terrasses des Minimes or stand and gaze, either up or down, at the locally famous and 374 stairs long Montagne de Bueren.
